LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Heroes" story lines are moving online. The hit NBC series is relaunching its Web site Monday with new interactive features coinciding with a batch of new original episodes.
Even superheroes need a break. The question is how seven weeks off the air will affect fans of NBC's Heroes, which returns with new episodes Monday at 9 ET/PT after having exited Dec. 4. "We tried to learn from the mistakes of other serialized shows that have not run contiguous episodes back to back," series creator Tim Kring says.

TV insiders like to say that one hit can turn around an entire network. That may be overstating the case, but NBC executives seem to be walking around their pods these days with more spring in their heels and fewer frozen, tense smiles. And it's not hard to guess why.

NBC television's top programer said on Wednesday his struggling network has finally turned a corner with success stories like "The Office" and "Heroes," but he sees a tough slog ahead against returning Fox ratings monster "American Idol."
